1960 : Created my first piece of art, at primary/elementary school, that was sent forward to a national competition; although I can remember the name of the piece, 'Taking my pencils for a walk', I can not remember how it fared.
1960 to 1977: Observed and gained an early appreciation of fine art by visiting the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and other art galleries in Glasgow, Scotland as well as seeing other fine art in the castles and museums of Scotland and England. From 1967 to 1971 I attended an all boys boarding school that had classical and Fine Art throughout the castle; in the seven year history of the school, only one painting got damaged and although I didn't damage it I was in the vicinity when it happened.
September 1967 to June 1971: Learned and developed photography and black and white darkroom skills; in 1970 I became the Secretary of the school photographic club.
June 1971 to present: Continued to develop my photographic skills using different format, traditional, cameras and digital cameras as well as some video cameras and video editing software.
December 2009: Started creating digital art for friends; this comprised of coming up with original designs and presenting them to the clients before sublimating them on to customized car tags on my heat press.
January 2010: Started creating digital art for my pleasure, and for sale. This was done by taking my own photos and making photo compilations utilizing photoshop 7. These creations were inspired by events in my past or present, current emotions and books that I may have read or music that I listened to. In the early stages, I cropped pieces of my photographs and built stories in new photographic documents and changed the hue, saturation and lightness/contrast appropriately. As my experience and skills in photoshop 7 increased I would use the various tools and filters to create something completely different from my photographs.
October 2010 to Present: Started learning painting skills and developing a style that I am comfortable with; a style that draws from my past and uses the bold colours, curves and movement that I grew up with in Scotland. Learning to use different mediums and surfaces to paint on and observing how the paint is finally represented on the differentsurfaces and how those surfaces like wood, glass, plastic, slate, tile, canvas and paper capture my emotions and my dreams.
September 2013 to the last day of my life: Continue to learn and develop new skills in the wonderful world of art and to create and develop some three dimensional art in either clay, glass, wood or metal.

ArtPrize 2010: 'All Passions Spent' at Art Addictions and Oddities, N.E Leonard Street, Grand Rapids, MI.: I was one of three artists from Oklahoma to have a venue accept my art submission for a place in the competition. During the three weeks of the competition, over 1,000 people visited the gallery and were impressed by my entry.
